WHAT COURSES DO WE OFFER?
Cosmetology – Hair, Skin & Nails (1800 Hrs)
Aesthetician - Skin (600 Hrs)
Hair Design – Hair (1200 Hrs)
Manicuring – Nails (500)
WHAT ARE THE ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENTS?
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age or older to be licensed by the State Board of Cosmetology. However, you may enroll at age 16 part-time but cannot complete the course until age 18. ABS requires the following documents for enrollment purposes: Picture ID, High School Diploma, GED Certificate or other proof of High School completion and Social Security Card.
WHAT ARE THE SCHOOL HOURS?
The school is open from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, Tuesday thru Saturday. We are closed Sunday and Monday. School holidays will be observed on a TBA (to be announced) schedule, in addition, the school reserves the right to close for other occasions with a one week advance notice to the students.
WHAT ARE THE STUDENTS SCHEDULED HOURS?
ABS offers FLEXIBLE full-time and part-time classes. The full-time schedule is Tuesday thru Saturday from 9 am to 5:30 pm. The part-time schedule is anytime between 9 am and 5:30 pm with a minimum of 4 hours per day and 20 hours per week.
DO WE OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?
ABS offers several tuition options, including: Discount of 5% for advance payment prior to start date, monthly payment plans available; some plans without any interest and no credit check and Sallie Mae Career Training Loan is available with low monthly rates, long term contracts and only $10 monthly deferment payment for up to 1 year.
WHEN CAN I BEGIN CLASS?
ABS offers open enrollment so in most cases; you are able to begin classes immediately.
DO I HAVE TO WEAR A UNIFORM?
ABS does require all students to wear a uniform. Following is an acceptable uniform for female and male students: All white or all black scrubs (Aesthetician only white), all white or black cardigan sweaters or sweat jackets (Aesthetician only white), all white or black turtlenecks underneath the uniform (Aesthetician only white), black or white rubber or crepe sole white professional or leather shoeswith closed toes and closed heels (Aesthetician only white), clean white or black socks (Aesthetician only white). No high heels, hats, caps, bandannas or scarves or any kind. No open torso. Pants must be at least Capri Length (below the knee).
